Mr. John Garrett's desire is to serve the area homeschool community with professionalism, expertise, and passion in order to continue in obedience to God's call on his life. As a high school student, God called him into teaching, not only as his profession but also as God's divine mission to fulfil His purpose in Mr. Garrett.
In fact, Garrett is, himself, a homeschool dad. He and his wife Susan have homeschooled their own children since first grade. Their older son has now graduated from high school and is living on his own, and their sixteen-year-old son is now a tenth grader taking several courses with HIS Classes in both Tomball and The Woodlands.
Mr. Garrett is first, and foremost, a teacher. Please peruse the course descriptions of his classes by clicking on the Courses Offered button on the left sidebar. If your child qualifies for either of his courses, please enroll him or her as soon as possible. The classes are filling up quickly. Mr. Garrett is confident that you will not regret entrusting your child to him. To read what several of Garrett's former students have said about their experiences in his classes, click on the Testimonials button.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Garrett conducts workshops and seminars for homeschool parents. Primarily focusing on writing, Mr. Garrett's objective is to assist homeschool moms and dads with practical, usable strategies for teaching writing in the home. For a schedule of his workshops, click on the Calendar button in the left sidebar.
Finally, Mr. Garrett and his wife Susan provide testing services to homeschool students and parents. Administered at the end of the academic year primarily, the tests provide parents with an empirical snapshot of their children's academic progress to date. The test results can then be used for curriculum planning for the following year.
